Welcome to Dunlop’s Website!

I am happy to have become a member of the Dunlop Public School community.  I would like to take this opportunity to say a huge thank you to the students, staff, and parents for welcoming me into your community.  I believe there to be a strong sense of family and community in this school and I am thrilled to have become part of it.

I spent most of my childhood in Brockville, Ontario.  I was educated at the University of Ottawa and Queen’s University in Kingston.  My teaching career began in the Brockville area in 1995.  In 2001, my wife and I decided upon a new adventure and moved to Singapore to teach at the Canadian International School.  After four wonderful years, we decided it was time to move home and, for the last four years, have lived in Ottawa.  My wife, Jody, and I are blessed with two wonderful daughters, Caelly who is 4 and Avery who is almost 2.  Prior to coming to Dunlop PS, I was the Vice-Principal at D. Aubrey Moodie I.S. in Bells Corners.

I invite you to get involved in your child’s education.  You are encouraged to volunteer here at the school by lending a hand on field trips, reading one-on-one in a classroom, or helping on our Pizza Fridays.

I encourage you to visit our website as much as you can.  We will be posting important information here including newsletter, upcoming events, and School Council news.  And keep checking back because we will be celebrating our accomplishments here too.
